What programs or committees are you interested in PARTICIPATING IN during the 2024-2025 school year?

Parent Ambassador Program: Serve as your school liaison to PSV and share information, opportunities & more; Year-round commitment with 5-6 zoom meetings/year & coordination of various PSV initiatives (BHM Social Campaign, Parent2Parent Mix & Mingle) and some specialized training offered.

Trustee Leadership Program: Support for current Trustees in private schools by regular gathering & peer support; Year-round with 2-3 virtual trainings on best practices, governance, trends, and more.

Pre-K/K Grade-Level Social Pod: Students enjoy activities to socialize while also building cultural pride and knowledge. Year-round with 6 gatherings minimally/year.

1st-2nd Grade-Level Social Pod: Students enjoy activities to socialize while also building cultural pride and knowledge. Year-round with 6 gatherings minimally/year.

3rd-4th Grade-Level Social Pod: Students enjoy activities to socialize while also building cultural pride and knowledge. Year-round with 6 gatherings minimally/year.

5th-6th Grade-Level Social Pod: Students enjoy activities to socialize while also building cultural pride and knowledge. Year-round with 6 gatherings minimally/year.

7th-8th Grade-Level Social Pod: Students enjoy activities to socialize while also building cultural pride and knowledge. Year-round with 6 gatherings minimally/year.

High School Leadership Program -- Sign students up to be a PSV Student Ambassador (for grades 9-12) and/or participate in newly created Grade-Level Social Pods (9th/10th and 11th/12th). Year round events and activities with most meetings managed virtually.

New Member Welcome Committee: Help welcome in new PSV community members and be an ongoing resource for engagement.

Fundraising Committee: Volunteer to help raise funds for the PSV mission through peer testimonial, word of mouth, and innovative events. Year-round with 3 zoom calls.

Sneaker Soiree Host Committee: Serve on the Host Committee for PSV's largest friend-raising and fundraising celebration of the year. Commit to selling tickets, securing auction items, spreading awareness and more. Planning starts at the end of the previous school year, carries through summer (lightly) and picks us significantly at the start of the school year as this is a Fall event.

Parent Socials Planning Committee: Help plan & host social activities for caregivers (Sticks & Stems, Mom's Night Out).

Communications & Marketing Committee: Help PSV communicate effectively and efficiently using all mediums. This includes developing messaging, proofing materials, producing assets and more.

Are you interested in VOLUNTEERING AS A CO-CHAIR for during the 2024-2025 school year? Note: Must attend in at least 1 in person PSV volunteer training at the beginning of the year. Without co-chairs, programs are put on hold. When possible, this is a minimum 2-year volunteer position.

Parent Ambassador Co-Chair: Lead other Parent Ambassadors throughout the school year by planning regular meetings for the group, providing information and direction on activities, recruiting and onboarding Ambassadors and leading the planning and implementation of Ambassador-specific events (BHM Social Campaign, Parent2Parent Mix & Mingle).

Trustee Leadership Program Co-Chair: Lead the Trustee program by planning gatherings, trainings, community-building and facilitating supportive resources.

PreK-8th Grade Level Social Pod Co-Chair: Be a grade-level co-chair for one of five grade level pods who will meet at a minimum of 6x/year (3 planned by PSV). Then, pod co-chairs plan & execute at least 3 meet-ups by specific grade level to provide more intimate opportunities to socialize. Additionally, racial literacy training and more will be offered to co-chairs.

High School Leadership Program: Support and guide high schools student ambassadors or help plan social pod activities/events year-round!

Summer Camp Program Co-Chair: Vet and build collaborations with key partners and find creative ways to share information with the PSV community at the top of each new year (in time for summer planning).

Are there any PSV committees that you want to sign up to join for next school year (2024-2025)? Note: Committees involve participating AND helping to plan.

Family Picnic Committee: Provide light planning assistance and volunteer on the day of the gathering in various volunteer roles particularly around setting up and breaking down the event as well as serving in the PSV tent during the event; typically in the Fall.
